Made By:  Ashley Chin and Dylan Collins

Our game is designed with a minimalist world that supports fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay. The setting is whimsical, and stylized to match the light-hearted, addictive nature of the game. While there is no complex narrative, the charm of the game world lies in its simplicity: players control a small flying character navigating through endless obstacles. There are 3 levels in our game, each one harder than the one before, reinforcing the player's immersion in a never-ending challenge.

Game Play Goal:

The core gameplay goal of our project is thrill of dangeradvancement and completion.

Explanation:

  • The thrill of danger comes from the fast reflexes and precision timing required to avoid crashing into pipes or falling. The stakes are high, one mistake ends the run, so players stay fully engaged.

  • The advancement and completion element is built into the score mechanic. As players pass through obstacles, their score increases, giving them a sense of progression and motivating them to beat their previous high scores.

This combination creates a highly replayable game that pushes players to improve their performance each time they play.

Workload and Contribution:

Ashley/Dylan: wrote scripts needed for the game.

Ashley: Created tilesets, rule tiles, game world design, added manager scripts, added assets/art found from Unity Asset Store and used some class assets, edited game world UI Canvases, recorded the demo, prepared the build profiles, troubleshooted errors.

Dylan: Created obstacles for our game world, included pickup UI and scripts, created game world canvases, worked on level difficulties and made sure the game was playable and ran smoothly.
